Tingling in hands
I am receiving Rebif 44g 3 times per week since September this year. As my MRT showed two new lesions some weeks ago, I received a corticosteroid therapy to calm it down. I have not hand any new symptoms for the past weeks until 5 days ago when my hands started tingling again, especially fingers (both hands). They are not numb, but tingling and having weird sensations ever day a bit more.
I am concerned because I am taking the therapy and I have just had a corticosteroids session, and I am wondering why is it happening and should I react on it anyhow.
Another question is, what can I do if I think that my Epstein Bar Virus is active?
Thank you so much in advance, it helps a lot

Dear Nadja,
it should be clarified whether the old lesions explain the current neurological deficits. It may well be that an MS lesion heals only incompletely and a sensory deficit remains in the form of tingling paresthesia. This is also the case after treatment with glucocorticoids. The infection status of an EBV infection can be checked by antibodies. IgG antibodies indicate that an infection has taken place, while IgM antibodies indicate a fresh active infection.
Yours sincerely
